The wild geese have arrived.  We had our geese out in the yard and a whole flock of wild geese came flying by.  Our geese stopped all their noise and looked up into the sky and just listened.  It had been rather cold here and snowy.  Today it is suppose to rain but right now little pellets of snow/ice are falling and it is 34 outside.

we have been taking our geese out for short outing so they can get used to the out of doors.  They love the greens that are growing through the snow and the snowy ice puddles.  I showed them some dandy lion greens and boy I had to watch my fingers as they all tried to eat out of my hand at one time.  Then they learned that they liked them and now they are all eating other stuff then just the grass.  It is funny to watch the pick and eat the stuff that is growing through the snow.

Our chickens would love to go outside but it was way to cold for them, we left the garage door open and the chickens are all balls of feathers keeping warm against each other and we quickly closed the garage door and warmed up the garage for them.  They really like their new pen that Hubby made for them.

One of our geese are getting pecky and pulling out the feathers of the other birds and these new feathers are coming in and bleed.  This goose is in a bucket in the pen with the others, we call it in jail.  It can see the others and they can see it and they call to each other.  This gives the poor tormented geese some time alone without getting their feathers ripped out, and she really grabs a mouthful and pulls out the small baby feathers and the others she just make bleed.  Mean goose, I'm going to look up what we can do about her peeking/pulling others feathers out.  She doesn't do this outside, maybe she is bored, but she does have a huge pen with the others and their is plenty of room. It is horrible to hear the others scream as they get their feathers ripped out, yikes!

Been fighting off a migraine and I hope today will be the end of that.  Muddled minded and I keep getting charlie horses in my right arch and the muscle behind the heel, just comes out of no where and bam!  Almost feels like I twist my ankle when it happens.  Weird how one part of my body wants so much attention!  Keep quiet you! It would be nice to just have a body that listens to me and quits causing problems,LOL.
