Hello my friend, I don't know if we are receiving all our communications. I was starting to send a msg to "my friends" and the list that appears did not include your name. So I will check tomorrow to find out how we make that official because I want to share these messages with you. Meanwhile, hang in there. I have to go to the Medical Center tomorrow to see my pain specialist so I don't know if I will be online tomorrow; those trips are tough. My prayers are with you. Take care and do keep me up to date on all you are doing and what is happening in your daily struggles. God bless and sending you some Texas-size hugs..... susan p.s. keep these flowers fresh; they are special for a special lady.... luv/s

Welcome Idajane! Incurring such a severe injury at age 16 carries so many other problems with it. So much trauma which lives with you still. How old are you now? What do your doctors recommend for long term treatment? My back is lousy, but I have a good shoulder if you ever need one. Welcome; you will find so much love and support here. I would like to add you as a friend if you would like to talk. Take care, hugs, susan

    • Close Back Pain

I injured my back when I was 16 yrs.doing a high dive and landing onmy back in the water . I have lived with chronic pain all my adult life. It limited what I could do in all areas of my life. Two years ago, for no apparent reason, pain suddenly increased to the point of having to drastically modify my already modified life - I am in pain on a daily basis in spite of all the medications, and other treatments. However, I realize that others have it much worse than I.

      Treatments

      Acupuncture Too Soon to Tell
I had about 8 treatments. Cost is out of pocket. I stopped about 6 wks ago. Doing worse- so will go back. Will let you know results
