Shelbie is doing very well on Lamical. She is also on Depakote, zarontin, and topamax. She has been sz free for 5 mths. She is back to her loving self! I am so happy with her.

      Treatments

      Depakote Working / Worked
Did not work. I felt it started her to have absence seizures. She never had them until stating this.
      Lamictal Working / Worked
This is the only med that has helped her. She has been seizure free for 6 weeks now. She started it in July and we have noticted a big difference the middle of aug.

      Type: Loss of a Child

I lost my 1st daughter to Trisomy 18. She was 16 mths when she went to heaven. She has been gone for 13 yrs, but there isn't a day that goes by that I don't think of her. I have also lost my mother-in-law. It was very sudden. She has been gone for 10 yrs now, but it is very hard to watch your children grow up without their grandma. She didn't get to meet her grandson, and her granddaughter looks just like her. My husband still has bad days. I guess you never get over losing someone.

      Treatments

      Prayer Working / Worked
I thank God everyday for the time I had with Stephanie. I know I will see her again someday!
    • Open Caregivers

    • Open Parenting Teenagers (12-18)

I have a 12 yr daughter. She was dx with epilepsy last year. She is having a rough time, but is pretty happy. She struggles in school big time. I am trying to help her with this. She starts the 6th grade 8/15. I am worried that her seizures will increase once school starts. She doesn't have many friends, but I am hoping she will have more this year.
