Back to work
I am back to work!
is feeling OK
I am a newly diagnosed young onset parkinsons person. I would like to know more about getting, being and staying pregnant with Parkinsons. I want children very much and have decided to put my Phd on hold and start a family- given my situation- oh guess I should mention I am single &I just found a donor. I realize how difficult being a single Parkinsons mom will be but with faith and the right mind set I believe I can do it- any single parents with parkinsons out there? I would love advice, shared stories etc. I have never been married and now wonder - or maybe it is worry -I never will due to my PD. I guess I am ok with that otherwise I probably wouldn't be going forth with getting pregnant- no time like the present! I have incredible support from my family and friends- although I live a few hours drive from them. Nevertheless, I have support.
Geoarchaeological research, climate change research, geology, anything outdoors, rocks colecting, fossils collecting, hiking, biking, reading, soul searching, going to the beach. Spending time with my girls (meow)- spending time with my friends & family, digging in the dirt whether it be gardening, fossil or artifact digging. Traveling around the world and learning about new cultures- my next adventure is S. Africa in Sept-Oct. 2008(but a bit concerned about the plane ride and my ridgity/pain/stiffness),

I am back to work!
I am a single 38 year old woman. Recently diagnosed with young onset Parkinson's- although have been ill for past 8 years or so. Looking to educate and get support as much as I can. My main concern is the incredible pain and stiffness in my neck, shoulders and back. On a scale of 1-10 (10 being the worst) many days I would rate it an 11- And I have been told it will get worse with time. Good grief! I have significant muscle weakness on my entire right side and now it is starting on my left side.
