Well. I have sleep issues too. The best thing is to find two different kinds that you can switch between when you become immune to one...here's what works for me....I can take a night time alka selser and that works...but like benadryl you may get tired. I get meds from my family doc that work ok,

I can totally relate. I lost my job 2 1/2 yrs ago. Thought all my problems were due to fibromyalgia but now I am not so sure that atleast some of it is menopause. I am taking 5htp for sleep and moodiness. I started taking omega 3 fish oil (suggested by the health food store lady). My concentration has greatly improved. Need to go back to work but I'm not sure if I can handle a job.

    • Close Accidents

I had a wreck which on paper appears to be my fault. I am a very careful driver, to the extreme. I was blinded by sun and did not see a car coming which was white. She was driving well over the speed limit, but since the police did not witness this, then the wreck is my fault for failure to yield. I have not had a wreck for 30 years. I'm very traumatized by this. I did hit my head, but I'm OK. Every time I wake up in the night, I relive this. I beat up on myself emotionally for being stupid. I'm afraid that the other driver will sue so that she can draw disability and I know my car insurance company will jack up our rates out of sight.

    • Close Menopause

Hi I'm an RN going through menopause. I'm almost 50 but started my period early. I went to the doctor 4 times since March, which is highly unusual for me. My chief complaint was chronic insomnia, often going 3 nights without sleeping. The doc (female) never once mentioned menopause. I learned this from a friend. I am here for advice and support and to help others if I can.

Log time insomniac with fibromyalgia going thru menopause. That says most of it. I have tried many meds and natural remedies and CD's, hypnosis. I think the docs think I'm drug seeking when I go in with this chief complaint, but in actuality, I'm not. I sure appreciate you guys.
