    About Me

I'm here because my girlfriend has BPD II and is an addict (to everything but injecting heroin) and I want to learn everything I can so I can help us cope with it all.

    • Hug

      From noseycow August 29

For the first time in weeks - I'm feeling GOOD, so I thought I'd send all my friends a hug! Hope you catch some of whatever it is I've got today!

nice to know that there are some 'normal' people prepared to stick around and support the rest of us

my girlfriend is an everything (except maybe heroin) addict. Everything else is the same: lying, stealing, cheating...

      Treatments

      Patience Working / Worked
I love her dearly, more than anyone. Being in the Marines taught me patience--"hurry up and wait". Yeah, it usually works--sometimes its the drugs talking, not her.
      Talking Working / Worked
I've spoken to addicts, recovering addicts, counselors, and FF of addicts, it sometimes helps, other times it just infuriates me.
      Writing Working / Worked
I'm a writer, so yeah, it works. I've written so much on the computer that I've switched to longhand on nice antique paper--three reams in a month.

Through college, everyone thought I was just lazy. Then the cataplexy started. I'm taking 3/10mg Ritalin daily now. It helps some.

      Treatments

      Ritalin Working / Worked
it works, but these things are designed for little kids. 10mg? For a 166 lb man is only effective for two to three hours. It works though.
