Close Thyroid Cancer
Type: Papillary CarcinomaI have undergone total thyroidectomy and lymph node dissection. I was diagnosed on Valentine's Day 2007 with papillary thyroid cancer. I had RAI in April 2007. Now, my concern is that my bloodwork is still showing thyroglobulin. My papillary cancer, I was told, was aggressive. So, I keep getting checked. I am praying my thyroglobulin doesn't increase any more because I really want to get rid of this.
Treatments
- Radiotherapy Working / Worked
- I had a clean body scan so I know the major bulk of the tissues were taken care of but the bloodwork is more sensitive and it is still showing signs of thyroid cancer cells.
