    About Me

    Married 25 yrs. Two wonderful children ages 11 and 12. Without any warning signs STBX, announced he was leaving to find his own happiness. Turns out he had bought a motorcycle and there was a 35 yr old coworker waiting in the wings, all within days of his 50th Bday. Their devoted Dad has turned into a Disney Dad. My relationship has diminished to fights about children and marital assets.Still trying to figure out what happened and what lies in the future for my children and me.

      They all bully us in the beginning. Don't let it get to you. Mine pulled all that too. Remember that they are very selfish. They wouldn't quit because want money to live the good life. Hugs.

      I'm getting PERMANENT maintenance and so should you. I'm not sure where you live and how your state works it. You still have to go back every 5, 10 or so years to update incomes. Talk to a good divorce mediator/therapist. She helped me so much. I told my lawyer what I wanted and asked him if anything I wanted was unreasonable. He said no. I'm getting most of it.
