contractions continue

still confused. but the baby is still in there where she belongs, and we are approaching 37 weeks. everything went textbook with my first pregnancy, the only one that's been successful. this time i'm having all sorts of weight gain issues, sugar and protein in my urine, no appetite, preterm labor, early discharge from work... my doctor's instructions seem simple: go to the hospital if the contractions start coming every five minutes for an hour or more, as these will not be braxton hicks but real labor. it happens for an hour or more from time to time, and they just subside on their own. so when will be the right time to seek help? i hope i can tell.
enough about pregnancy, it's just on my mind because i want her to be safe but nothing seems to be going right with reproduction since my surviving child arrived three years ago. i think there are a few of us here who feel the same.
some troubles in my garden: lettuce came up very sparsely and carrots almost not at all. dh will go out today and fill in blank spots with new seeds, as well as plant the 8 jalapeno peppers that we picked up yesterday at the farm stand. hopefully 8 tomatoes will arrive and be planted for me on monday. i'd be out there constantly if i were allowed, but maybe i can pick up where they've left off in june or early july. peas are doing well (a foot tall or more), as are the cauliflower and some of the spinach. i'll keep the faith.

I'm defineately excited and nervous about the first U/S. My diabetes is not well-controlled despite testing like …
I can't beleive you are still gardening. We close down our veggie garden since the outside of the house is testing positive for lead paint. I plan to plant in containers this year, if it ever stops raining and feeling like November. Funny about pregnancies, I thought I was having Baxton Hicks, I almost gave birth to Ava on the Futon at 5AM. Even with the meds. to stop labor , Ava was born at 9AM. Be careful with contractions. Now, Ms. Ann, I was watched and watched and watched for preterm labor. I even thought I was in preterm labor about a million times. They had to schedule a C-section, because she wouldn't move. I finally had one contraction, while I was wheeled into the OR for my schedule C-section at 39 weeks and 5 days. Each pregnancy is different.
