Do fun things with your girlfriends, or seek and cultivate healthy friendships, spend time with your family, try some new activites that might be interesting or enjoyable, take time for personal development, etc. Easier said than done, I know, because this is also what I must do. It's hard to move forward carrying a broken heart. Keep trying! Hugs and prayers.~

Hi Christmas, nice to hear from you. I read your last journal entry and am sorry things are so difficult right now. He sent you a text to tell you his relationship ended. not surprised. That will probably be the story of HIS life. A series of bad relationships. I learned through tapes a counselor gave me this....a man, who doesn't understand what relationships are about, who doesn't understand the meaning of love, but is given an opportunity to be involved with someone who does, has one of two choices. First, LEARN something, or second, DON"T LEARN, self-destruct, and the relationship ends. He moves on, and usually, pretty quickly (because he does't have any real feelings) gets involved in another relationship. Before long, he starts criticizing her, finding fault with everything, and says things like "Why do I keep getting involved with these crazy women." I should have stayed with the last one. etc. etc. Can you see the problem is he doesn't know what love is? I can tell from reading your thoughts, that you DO. Lucky you. When you aren't looking, love will come around again, and this time, you will know the difference. The difference between someone who understands and appreciates love...is greatful to have it in their life...and it will be the best. Until then, I suggest you pray for his soul...because his future doesn't look good. All he can ever know is lust, work, drugs, alcohol...nothing good. I don't know how old you all are, but if he doesn't understand it now, he is NEVER going to get it. Something went terribly wrong in his life (probably with his Mom in his childhood) and higher power gave him an opportunity to be with someone who deeply understood the real thing....to LEARN something, and he failed at it...and will again, and again, and again. That is how it goes. You don't have to be trapped in an unhealthy relationship like that. You have LEARNED that HE is unhealthy and don't have to go back and RE-LEARN that again....my best wishes to you and congratulations on moving on from the unhealthy feelings of someone who clearly doesn't know what love is. I understand how deeply sad you feel and how overwhelming those feelings of loss can be at times...that's why we are here...I am here for you anytime Christmas....I am going through the same thing, and mine has dragged the courts into it, and is lieing through his teeth to get me thrown out of the house and not have to give me a dime!! 17 years together...15 married, 4 children - two mine from a previous marriage and 2 his from a previous marriage and believe me...everyone is hurting from the damage this man has caused....everyone BUT HIM. huh....really something. But, I have to say, he did me a favor, I am lucky that I don't have to grow old with this miserable so & so. He is only going to get worse as the years go on...more miserable....more criticle. I will pray for his soul, because as I understand love, he will always be a part of me now, and there's not a thing I can do to change that....after the grieving, I will find happiness again, but I will always say a prayer for him (even if it is that he falls down the stairs!!! ; ) Hope this helped, even a little bit....
