stoma caps worked
So I was able to hang out by the pool and go swimming for a little while. I did, however, have to go the bathroom @ the pool about every 45 minutes …
is feeling OK
It's been a tough road this past year and im grateful that there is support from other people out there who can relate. If anyone has any kind of questions that they think I might be able to answer, please feel free to ask...I hope I can help. I also have stoma pics if anybody wants to see what one looks like, if u don't already know.
Music, concerts, hanging out w/ family & friends, trying to get some exercise, reading books and magazines on spirituality and philosophy.

It's about 90 degrees in New York. My first really hot day w/ having an ileostomy bag. Me and my sister want to go and hang out by the pool …
Hey Naomi thanks for the inspiration :) I'm taking it one day at a time and trying to make the best of it! Hope everything is going good with you.
Naomi, Thank for the hug! I am taking it one day at a time. It's hard to live with such a horrible disease/illness. It wasn't our choice to get this... not something we did right or wrong.... my advice I got from her (ex g/f) was that I need to find someone who has Crohn's Disease, and knows what it's like to go through this --> which makes sense, but not enough to see why she wanted to be in a relationship with me in the first place. Anyways... this is getting too long. I wanted to say thanks!!
I've had a colostomy bag since my accident back in 01. It's so tough dealing with something like this. I can't believe you went swimming :) That takes guts I'd never be able to get enough gonads to do that :) lol.
I am proud of you & impressed that you had the strength to out to the pool and actually swim with your sister. That's awesome!!Keep it up.
You deserve many hugs just for all that you have endured.
I was diagnosed w/ ulcerative colitis in March 2006. I had to have my colon removed last year. Right now, I have an ileostomy bag but am hoping that it's not permanent (pending surgery in the near future).
