    About Me

I am a child/adolescent case manager for a company called Northeastern Center. I recently graduated from Purdue with a bachleor's degree in Human Services and a minor in Psychology. I have been married for almost one year to a wonderful man that happens to be bipolar. I do not have any kids of my own but I do have three step-children and three dogs.

    Interests

My interests involve spending time with my friends and family, the outdoors, TV and movies, music, reading, and spending time with my dogs. However, the number one thing that is important to me is my walk with my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and how everyday I build my faith with him. Without my faith I would not be where I am today, and will not be able to achieve what I want to do in the future.

    • Close Family & Friends of Bipolar

My story is somewhat simple. I fell in love with a bipolar man. I am looking for someone to talk to about what I am feeling when he has his different mood swings, and maybe some advice on how to handle the situations as they come. He is on medication; however, he still has the mood swings. I love this man dearly, and I want to help him in the best way I can. However, I want to find a way to take care of my own mental health so that I can help him.

    • Close Diets & Weight Maintenance

I have been overweight all my life. However, I was in sports all throughout high school. Since high school, I have not kept up with the exercising and watching what I eat due to being overly busy with working and going to college. I basically neglected myself to take care of everything else. I am now done with college for now anyways, and ready to start taking care of myself again.

      Treatments

      Atkins Diet Not Working
This did not work for me at all. I got tired of not being able to eat the things that I enjoyed.
      Curves Somewhat Helpful
I joined Curves with my mom a few years ago, and it was working. However, we both got busy doing other things and we both stop going.
      Eating Healthier Foods Somewhat Helpful
It was helpful but when my weight leveled off I lost my ambition to keep using it.
      Eat Less Not Working
When I would eat less then I got hungry sooner and I would eat things that I should not eat.
      Weight Watchers Somewhat Helpful
It worked but I got tired of counting everything I ate.
