Stbx just called. Apparently my lawyer had called his lawyer and discussed my response to his petition before our meeting this afternoon. This was most unpleasant, as stbx is a lawyer himself and wanted to start negotiating on the phone before our meeting. I think perhaps as a teacher I would have been at a slight disadvantage? One funny line though - he told me he didn't appreciate getting blindsided by what I wanted. Too hilarious. I wryly told him I understood that feeling.
Well, my lawyer and I pre-meet at 1:00 and the whole brouhaha starts at 2:00. Unpleasant as it may be, at least by this evening it will be over.
