I am feeling a lot better these days. Yes I have a big prob;em with the amputation but learning to take one day at a time.. I am not sleeping too well thpugh as I am wide a wake and it's now2.13am here....
I love reading, enjoy the computer and socializing with friends, swimming, I am looking to do some garding and have some raised flower beds so I can reach them...

I had an above knee amputation 12 months ago not long got out of hospital. I had a chronic ulcer for 12 years the Drs tried everything to save my leg. In the end amputation was the last restort.. I haven't yet cometo terms with things and finding it hard. No I am not old. not yet had a chance to try a prosetic limb as wound is still trying to heal. I do get a lot of phantom pain...Does everyone have phantom pain afterwards? anyone know how long it lasts for? I am new here looking for support..
