Type: Meningioma

My son was 8 years old when he had his first siezure. At age 12 he had an MRI and a tumor was found. He and surgery at age 12 to remove the tumor. He recovered nicely. A year later he had another MRI and the tumor had returned. It was removed again. Again he recovered. He starated losing his hearing at age 25. He has had both ear canals cleared out because of tumors. He is totally deaf now at age 34. He has more tumors on his brain. The doctors are monitoring them through MRI. He is managing.

Treatments

Surgery, Brain Somewhat Helpful

His experience has been very trying, for me as well(i am his mother). I'm just grateful he is still with us. He had a stroke with the last surgery, which left his mouth a little twisted. With theraphy he is doing fine. Prayfully the tumors will not grow and he will not need any more surgeries.
