Hi Jim, I had alopecia and had big bald spots in my head and didn't realize it was from stress until I went to a dermatologist and she told me about it. Thank goodness it was the kind where my hair would grow back, but would be gray. I'm not sure it is the same kind you have, but she gave me cortisone shots in the head for it and some cortisone gel to put on the spots. I hope I helped some.

hi jim...it's funny you mention AA, as i've got a friend who has it, but has never admitted it to me (i know through another friend). trying to get them on this site, but it's tough!
