About Me
I am 44 years old, a mother of 6, but only of is at home. My 5 year old has ADHD, RAD, separation anxiety and PTSD thanks to her biological father sexual abusing her about a year and a half ago. She also has Autistic Spectrum Disorder. She is not on medictaion yet and days are really difficult to get through.

My daughter was diagnosed with ADHD about a year and a half ago and we're still trying to find the right meds for her. MOst days are pure hell for us as she is very hyperactive. I have raised 5 other kids and now have adopted my granddaughter.
Treatments

- Loves her Build-A-Bear CD and Celtic Woman CDs
- Music Therapy Too Soon to Tell
- can be helpful as long as it is Celtic Woman CDs or that type of music.

Close Parents of Children with ADHD
I am parenting a 5 year old with ADHD, among other problems (speech delay being a big one). She is age appropriate for kindergarten but may not be ready developmentally.
Open Physical & Emotional Abuse
My 5 year old was sexually abused by one in a position of trust (CO Statute wording) and I was abused by my first husband. we are both survivors.

Open Autism / Autism Spectrum
My daughter is being evaluated for ASDs and when I checked the DSM-IV she hits just about every symptom on the checklist for autism. While I am shocked, I am also relieved. I also have a grandson with aspergers.

Open Migraine Headaches
I have had migraines for years, since I was 12 years old. Started taking Topamax 2 years ago and migraines are gone,

- used to work before Topamax, still works in a pinch

- works great. barametric pressure can be a killer as can sinus headaches.

Open Adoption
Type: Open AdoptionMy biological mother was adopted, I was adopted by her parents, and I adopted 2 children, 1 was a teenager in need of tough love and the other was my granddaughter who is now 5. Her mother, my daughter wanted her but then didn't want to care for her.
Open Diabetes Type 2
I have Type 2 diabetes, but it doesn't have me. I come from a family of female diabetics, some wree insulin dependent, some were not. I am not on insulin, yet. I am working on losing weight.
