    About Me

I am semi-retired, caregiving part time for a 93-year old lady. I do have some health issues, and needs. My knees give me pain at times, and I can't walk too much as I have osteoarthritis. Am doing better, though. I have 3 grown children--my two sons have mental problems and live in care homes. My daughter and granddaughter live nearby. I wish there were a cure for mental illness--Schizophrenia is a confusing disease. Much prayer has been going out over the years. Am not giving all the details at this time of everything going on. It would take too long. I have felt so helpless trying to find help for them. We are all getting older and feel time is running short. I feel so alone in all of this at times, but know that God is my strength.

    Interests

My interests are taking classes at the college nearby, church activities, and knitting. I love to exercise, but am limited because of my knee problems.

    • Close Osteoporosis

I have been diagnosed with osteoarthritis. I have pain in my knees, and right shoulder. Have had Halegyn shots, but am bone-on-bone. Am better than one year ago probably because have been taking the right natural supplements, also Fosamax.

      Treatments

      Fosamax Somewhat Helpful
I can walk a little better, but my left knee is "tweaked." My right knee is in pain sometimes when I sleep. I am undergoing chiropractic care at this time, which seems to help. My right shoulder is in pain off and on.
      Lipitor Working / Worked
Lipitor lowered my cholesterol. It is now normal. I have to go in for blood tests every 6 months.
