It was the summer of 1997 my mum and myself had gone to scotland to visit relatives who we had not seen for quite sometime,we had a very good weekend away with each other,anyway the weekend was over and done with before we knew it and it was back home,the coach journey was very long and uncompfortable but never mind.

Soon christmas was upon us and mum was not feeling herself,we normaly had a lot of people around for dinner christmas day but this time we did not,after christmas mum still not feeling to good went to the doctors and she said i was a kidney infection week after week mum was forever going back with the same problem but yet again the same thing from the doctor a kidney infection ,by this time my dad had had enough and wanted a second appinion he demanded that something should be done, my dad was a funny bugger he had this medical book and he was looking at the  symtons mum was having, in the end the doctor had put mum into hospital where they under went tests and dad was right mum had cancer of the pancreas.i was with mum and dad in the doctors room when they told them it was not nice.they offered mum chemotherapy but had said it would not really work as the cancer had sread to far.

anyway mum was kept in hospital for awhile and it was horrible just sitting at the bedside watching her in pain, my dad had decided that if worse came to the worse he would want mum at home and so she was,i became my mums carer for a short while i had to make sure she didnt overdose on her medication and things like that.we had nurses come in each day as well to give her an injection in her leg each day but then after a little while mum had to do that herself.it was horrible to go up to my place each day watching her waste away.
