I live on a small spread of land in Indiana with my wife, numerous dogs, cats, and horses. I love the outdoors and I'm an avid runner, cyclist, and enjoy horseback riding. I'm also recovering from years of heavy drinking, and I don't really want to go back there ever again.
Interests
Horses, Dogs, running, cyling, canoing, and everything outdoors. I also like history -reading it, seing historical sites, and learning from it. Also in the process of rediscovering the Bible by reading it for myself instead of relying on other people's opinions of it.

Close Alcoholism
I progressed from weekend binges to daily drinking, and continued that for 15 years. Middleage caught up with me and I started to really suffer (physically). I don't want to spend the rest of my life as a cripple (or die) of alcohol abuse, so I'm cleaning up my act
Treatments
- Cold Turkey Working / Worked
- high BP, sweats, and rapid heartbeat. All went away after 6 weeks
- Willpower Working / Worked
- Still working. I occasionally fail, but on the whole, I'm sober. I drink 99% less than I used to drink. That may not be completely dry, but you should have seen me last year.
Close Carpal Tunnel Syndrome
