Just wanting to vent some frustrations. I feel like I do pretty well with my heart condition.

About Me
I am a 44 yr old female that was diagnosed with dilated cardiomyopathy in March of 2001. My EF has stayed pretty much around 25%, but feel better now than I did at first. I had a ICD implanted in August of 2006. I am married with two grown children and two granddaughters. Would love to talk with others with DCM, espcially in the southern US. All of my family wants to act like I have nothing wrong with me. I have worked for the Army as a civilian for 21 years.

Close Heart Failure
I am a 44 yr. old female that has had dilated cardiomyopathy since 2001. My EF has remained around 25% since diagnosed. I have been married for 14 years with two grown children, two grown stepchildren and two granddaughters. Would love to talk with others with DCM.
Treatments
- Aldactone Working / Worked
- I have not had any problems.
- Avapro Working / Worked
- No problems.
- Carvedilol Working / Worked
- Have had to stay with the 12.5 mg. Just made me too tired.
- Digoxin Working / Worked
- No problems.
- Lasix Working / Worked
- Works well. Did have to start taking Metalozone when 80 mg day stopped working.
- Zaroxolyn Working / Worked
- Works very well.
Close Families & Friends Of Addicts
I have been married to my husband for 14 years and he is the best person that you can asked for, when he isn't drunk. It wasn't too bad for lots of years, until he met up with a group of friends that he has now. They all meet a couple of times a week at the local bars and get drunk. My husband is just the crazy fun guy when he is with them, but when he gets home he can get really mean. I think that I am finally at my end with him.
