Minimal contact Mood
Thursday, June 19, 2008 | A Positive story

Ok - so my wife left me, but she has decided on the no contact rule as it is upsetting her new partner of 10 weeks. It doesn't seem to matter to her whether the kids are affected or not, she has told me that although I have done nothing wrong and am doing my best to help her as a friend and financially she has to respect his feelings !

Seems like 21 years with me against 10 weeks with him would be a hard choice......

So today I decided that I don't want to contact her or her family - they have known me for all of 21 years, they know I have done nothing wrong, they are christians and obviously know we're married but - I wouldn't say they're encouraging her in her new life but they're not discouraging her either !

It really has opened my eyes to human nature - 3 months ago my wifes father was in hospital for 2 weeks - throughout that 2 weeks I ran her mother to the hospital and back every day, took her mum back to our house gave her dinner then took her home and saw her into her house before finally getting home myself !

Anytime there was something wrong in their house with the electrics or plumbing who did they call on - yes me. Now they know I'm on my own but have dropped me like a stone.

So as of today I'm on my own and ready to take on the world - I feel like I need a pair of red pants and a cape though........so there, its all off my chest now and I feel happy and free......

Well I say i'm on my own...but if you have faith your never really on your own are you......Innocent
