Close Chronic Pain

Well, I fell while I was pregnant, and carrying a child, and herniated 2 discs. I have deg. disc disease, and spondy. I have not been able to receive any treatment that helps, and am desperate for surgery. I want to be a great mother, but can't get off the couch, and would love to talk to others.

Chiropractic Adjustment Working / Worked

it works, for the cramps, but it really depends on who I go to.

Cymbalta Not Working

no change with this med.

Flexeril Not Working

Hated it, I love soma... Flexeril makes me pass out, and be of no use to my family

Heat Working / Worked

love it, i'm on it most of the day

Hydrocodone Somewhat Helpful

I'm on it now. Compared to the Oxy, it is such a lite treatment. I am very irritated on it, and don't like that at all.

Lidoderm Working / Worked

not much help

Marijuana Working / Worked

I had a medical card in CA, it definetly took my mind off it, but intensified the cramping

Morphine Somewhat Helpful

It took the edge off, but made me really sick to my stomach, and irritable.

Naproxen Not Working

No change

Nerve Blocks Working / Worked

the first 8 or so worked, then it lost it's touch

Neurontin Not Working

I didn't feel any relief w/my nerve pain, it did make my ankles swell, and I fell a few times, which wasn't good.

Oxycodone Working / Worked

wonderful!! the only meds that work, but i can't get anyone here on the east coast to give it to me. I was on Oxy for 2 yrs, and was fully able to function.

Physical Therapy Not Working

Nope...just irritated my cramping. They said my core is extremely weak, and the pt caused a lot of swelling...then pain.

TENS Not Working

I've had a unit for about 3 yrs. At first it may have tricked my brain, but now it doesn't do anything.

Spinal Decompression Not Working

Hurt me sooooo bad. It was a unit that pulled when programed. I couldnt move after treatment for at least a whole day. It was worth a try.

Facet Joint Injection Somewhat Helpful

The first few seemed helpful but it lost its touch.
