About Me
I am 52 years old, and am a grandmother of 4 boys. I have fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue, at least that's all I know about. I have had fibro for 8 yrs. I had to quit working full time about a year ago. I am married, my husband is a great support. I now own my own business (that was never supposed to happen). I am the Captain and CEO of Pirates for Sail, an entertainment troupe. My crew & friends are also great supports for me, I am very fortunate in that way.

Close Fibromyalgia
Fibro for 8 years. Married, 2 children & 4 grands. I run my own business so I can make my own hrs. I also am bipolar and depression. I still love life, and will do whatever it takes to participate in it!
Treatments
- 5-HTP Not Working
- I really didn't feel any different after a month.
- Acupuncture Too Soon to Tell
- Might have helped, insurance wouldn't pay and I couldn't either.
- Adderall Working / Worked
- Made me very anxious and make me make these funny horrible faces and I was unable to control my facial muscles. Everyone else thought it was hilareous!
- Cyclobenzaprine Working / Worked
- I take 10 mg. at bedtime.
- Cymbalta Working / Worked
- I was hopeful on this one, but I had a severe allergic reaction that sent me to the ER.
- Duragesic Patch Working / Worked
- I am on 50 mcg per hr. I guess it works. Still alot of pain, wouldn't want to know what it's like without it.
- Effexor Working / Worked
- I think this works, don't cry every am when I woke up. Still do sometimes though.
- Elavil Working / Worked
- Did help, but I gained 60 lbs. in 18 mos. I've lost it now, but it took 2 yrs.
- Lyrica Somewhat Helpful
- Not sure. Need to talk to Dr., but I've been on it for almost a yr.
- Neurontin Working / Worked
- Weight gain, didn't really help.
- Ultram Working / Worked
- I guess it works. Still in pain.
- Hydrocodone Working / Worked
- This is just hydrocodone. Works after about 3 of them. Have to paced during the day. Still in pain this makes me drowsy most of the time.
