About Me
I was attacked on 7/29/07 and was hit in the head with a blunt object and was in a coma for almost 2 months. Before my injury i had no OCD or any other medical problems! Now i have thoughts that i cannot control and its driving me crazy.I'm on Lexapro, which to me doesn't seem to help.I am in need of advice with things i can do for myself to help me control these thoughts, anyone out there who has any ideas for me, please help! I am open to all suggestions.
Interests
Well before my injury, i loved hanging out with my friends, football, music, shooting pool, partying, going to my favorite bar (The Rendevouz), work(building decks)and family.Now getting help with my OCD and doing everything i can to regain all i have lost do to this sensless attack such as my independence and my whole world because of this brain injury, everything i felt about myself before is now diffrent.

My name is Joey,i'm 24yrs.old and up until 7/29/07 i was a normal 24yr.old man.On that early morning i was attacked by a group of 11 boy's i never even met,or new.I was at a friends house when i heard about this girl who was also there had a argument,with her x-boyfriend on the phone.(i did not know her)A friend of mine was there with this girl and got on the phone with her ex-boyfriend and told him to come to the house we were at.When all these boys showed up i went out side to talk to them a try to keep peace there we didn't want any trouble.But it didn't work out that way,i was jumped and beaten over the head with a blun object,and was also stomped on my face after i was unconcious.I had 2 diffrent set's of foot prints on my face,my sinus bones were broken,and 2 fractures on my scull.The doctors had to remove the left side of my scull do to the brain swelling.I was in a drug induced coma for almost 2 months.I had to learn everything over again,how to walk,talk,eat,everything.its now 10 months later and i have OCD so bad it is driving me crazy.I am here for any help i can get,and i just want to say thank you for allowing me on this site.Joey(I am joey's step-dad and i am the one writing this in order to help him anyway i can.He is fully aware of what i am doing and has agreed to this 100% Thank You all very much)
