My daughter has aspergers and is difficult she is 10, my other daughter is 12 and needs my but is very self sufficient and i think often left to fend for herself. I am trying to homeschool my 10 year old while i work full time. We had her in school but it wasn't working wel and we couldn't seem to get the help we needed. I have a sitter for her during the day and I work with her in the evenings. Many of her behaviors are uncontrollable. The situation is frustrating on so many levels. We can not afford private school. The babysitter cost is breaking us along with all of Samantha's therapy. I have to work, don't know what to do with daughter. Has anyone dealt with anything like this before?
10yr old girl recenlty dx w/Aspergers. She was above average student. A's to c's then failing. overheard her say to herself "everyone would be better off if I didn't exist" incident in school triggered this, Since being home she is happier and she has regained interest in learning among other things testing 6th & 7th & 10+(reading). I ahve to work full time right now so it is difficult but she is worth it. I get more help from ESE homeschool than I ever did from school itself.
