About Me

I am Holly's mom. She has recently been diagnosed with PCOS and is not finding the time what with school and such to do the incredible amount of research to educate herself about this disease. So being the codependent person I have been accused of in the past by family members, I am taking the active role in educating myself and then summarizing to her what I learn through internet research, Dr. Vliet's radio program, books, and of course her doctor. This is a complex and overwhelming condition we are finding and not one we feel there is alot of empathy or even a willingness to be interested enough to come to understand her condition and the hell it has put her and I both through. So, we come here, to hopefully find support from the ones who know, those who've had first hand experience, that understand the frustration and fear, we come with hope and optimism. The photo is not of me, it is of my lovely daughter just before her symptoms really started gearing up along with her weight. The weight goal that I have set is not her weight or her goal, it is my own, so I guess one could say that we are two persons on here sharing a profile, if you can follow that! In addition all the goals listed belong to me, her mom.
