I took my 15 year old daughter to the dr yesturday because she has been feeling dizzy and lightheaded everytime she eats. Well, the dr ordered a full panel of blood work to be done. I took her to the lab and they took four viles of blood. While the lab tech was filling the last vile my daughter said the she was seeing dark spots and she could not hear and her ears were warm. No sooner had she said this her body became limp and she fell backward. Her eyes went back into her head and she started siezing. She did this for about 30 seconds before she started coming out of it. It took about 15 minutes before she could sit up straight. The tech offered an ice pack and I told her that was a good idea. The tech had other people that needed to be seen so I told her to help them and we would be fine if we could just sit there for a few minutes. Since there was another room she could use that was not a problem. We sat there until my daughter felt better then I took her home and made her some chicken soup. I had decided I had better keep her home from school for the day and she was totally up for that. So, after she was done with her soup we snuggled and watched tv all afternoon. This whole thing scared the heck out of the both us and she told me she had self safe because she knew that I would take care of her. I thouht about taking her to the ER but I figured she just needed food and if she did not feel better after she ate I would take her in. But she felt much better after she got lots of mommy time and my really fast home-made chicken soup.
