hey pretty woman, how you be today? still house hunting? I sure wish you would find something and soon and get settled...wishing and praying that you do! had a very relaxing day yesterday and today the roofers are here for a new one....will have to take two by the end of the day...hahahaha!! ly

Close Bipolar Disorder
I have a 12 year old grandson who lives with us, he has bipolar and is having a real hard time getting stable, I also have bipolar as do my three grown children.
Treatments
- Abilify Not Working
- no longer takes this
- Clonidine Working / Worked
- takes 1 1/2 mg day
- Depakote Working / Worked
- 1,000 mg at bedtime, have added 500mg went to 1500 mg a day
- Fish Oil Somewhat Helpful
- 3000 mg daily gets up better in the morning is all the difference I see at this time
- Lamictal Working / Worked
- takes 1/4 of 25 mg daily will be upped to 1/2 tab in two weeks
- Lithium Working / Worked
- had to take him off for a while it made his thyroid levels go up, trying it edkalth, smaller doses, hope it dosent mess with him this time took off lithium and on eskelith,, 450 mg daily
- Risperdal Working / Worked
- working 5mg a day,
- Seroquel Not Working
- we started this b/c he has to get off lithium, we are now at 500 mg a day, taken off seroquel, had bad side effects/ taken off seroquel
- Trileptal Not Working
- no longer takes this med takes 25 mg
Close Grandparents Raising Children
I am a 60 year old grandmother raising a 12 year old grandson, he is bp,adhd, he has lived with us scence he was 8 months old, he he has a sister 4 years old that lives with his mother and his dad passed away in a car accident three years ago, zach also has a lot of issues being left by his mother and father when he was so young zach is a great kid just has a lot of issues and problems,

Open Widows & Widowers
My husband George, passed away on June 17th 2007, (fathers day) he has a terminal lung disease, copd, and a lot of other issues, I am glad he is no longer suffering, together we had 7 children, all grown, George and I were raising a bipolar grandchild, 12 years old now we got him when he was 8 months old, now I am raising him by myself, I miss his suport in raising our grandson. z ( g son) starts school tomorrow and I will be lost all day be at peace George, miss you and love you so much
