Close Hearing Loss & Deafness
Type: Sensorineural (Severe)Been HOH since I was five in the right ear, became HOH in the left ear since I was 40. Have held managerial positions but becoming harder to use telephone.
Treatments
- Hearing Aids Working / Worked
- using two hearing aids but this past weekend lost the remainder of my right hearing. Working with doctor to determine the cause
- Lip Reading Working / Worked
- used lip reading since I was seven. Still can't walk up to a group and pick up on the conversation right away.
