About Me

I am 41 year old female. Contracted hep c in the late 80's through drug use. I am 11 years clean. I have stage 2 fibrosis and am considering interferon treatment. Due to start in August 2008. I have a healthy life style. Dont smoke and am a social drinker. Although sometimes when I am anxious/stressed will drink 3 glasses of wine at home. I do not know why I do this but I guess self destruction has always been a part of my make-up. Being a user of Narcotics for 13 years. I have joined this forum to gain the strength from other members in a similar situation to me. In my early recovery I went to NA for 5 years and found it worked well and gave me comfort and direction. I am married with no children.

Interests

I adore animals and own a horse and a beautiful cocker spaniel dog. I am a ballroom/latin dancer and enjoy painting if I can find the time. I work in a nursing home as a Diversional Therapist and am passionate about providing qualitly care to the elderly. I am sadded by the state of our environment and poverty.
