Close Schizophrenia
I am a 22 year old who has been diagnosed with schizoaffective disorder since I was 19. I have been on over 25 different meds but am now fairly stable.
Treatments
- Abilify Working / Worked
- I am now on a low dose however I was on a high dose for a long period of time and as a result have EPS in my eye muscles
- Cogentin Working / Worked
- This medications helps with the EPS from the antipsychotics
- Geodon Not Working
- This drug made me sleep for days in a row. I couldn't function on it.
- Invega Working / Worked
- Awsome drug but I cant' take a high dose of it due to EPS
- Music Working / Worked
- I love music-- it keeps me sane
- Pets Working / Worked
- I love my pets though when living in the dorms I can only have my goldfish
- Seroquel Somewhat Helpful
- Caused significant weight gain but has always been great in times of crisis
- Zyprexa Not Working
- This drug increased my psychosis
- Climara Working / Worked
- It took several therapists but I have finally found one who has been tremendously helpful
- Lexapro Working / Worked
- Has been great at controlling my depression
