BP, Anxiety & PTSD Hey all! I'm 42, happily divorced for 11 yrs. I have one wonderful beauty of a daughter (20). She's my angel girl. I have a wonderful intelligent beautiful loving boyfriend. Other than God, he is my rock! I love reality, honesty and truth in all shapes, forms and colors. (yea, kaleidoscopes are kinda groovy).... lol ....Otherwise, we are all weighed down- unhappy and not drinking up this beautiful, glorious experience from the biggest most gigantic sparkly pimp cup of all.. Thank you and the same to you. Man we are really having it rough right now. My xhusband has to hock the gun and my oldest daughter has to hock her Ipod just so we can have money for food. We have been selling veggies to.

Close Bipolar Disorder
Suffered silent despair w/ depression as a teenager due to abandonment, various types of abuse, death of my brother. Started secretly cutting in my mid 20s. Stopped that after my meds got right. Diagnosed w/ bipolar, anxiety & PTSD in my early 30s after suicide attempt which left me in intensive care for 8 days. 2 stays in rehab for alcohol due to self medicating for severe insomnia & anxiety. Was doing well and am drinking again and getting help.
Treatments
- Cymbalta Working / Worked
- The best anti-depressant I have ever been on. Combats suicidal thoughts for me and helps with dark painful moods.
- Equetro Working / Worked
- Working great for me. Lithium made me feel numb and/or dead. I don't have that feeling with this.
- Lamictal Working / Worked
- Too soon to tell.
- Lithium Working / Worked
- Helped mania but I felt like a zombie. I discontinued.
- Lyrica Working / Worked
- It has worked very well for me

Been to rehab for alcoholism twice. I have a hard time latching onto AA. I still have trouble passing up a drink. Have had long periods of sobriety and then I slip and go into denial. Have been in denial off and on for years.

- Has helped many times. I can't stand having a Sponsor. It annoys me to have a sponsor tell me what to do.

- Worked well for me.
