About Me
I am a marketing director for a handicap facility. We have people that have mental and physical disabilities. I have fibromyalgia. I was diagnosed almost 5 years ago. I am married with 6 children.
Interests
Drag racing mud trucks......it's great fun. I started drag racing two years ago and took 7th in national competition last year. I also like to garden if pain is not to bad to bend down. I like to have a yard full of flowers.

Sorry you're feeling bad. Sending you a hug. I went to my Dr today and she prescribed me Lyrica (fibro drug). Have you heard of this?

Hi Rachel, I guess I am doing o.k. Trying to get ready for my in-laws to come for 10 days in July and trying to take some computer courses that are free with the Accounting and Bookkeeping course I took. Plus still run to the dr.'s and tests. I will have to wait til next month to make a app. with a Pain Management Spec.Gosh the co-pays are killing us. I have found one that is close to me and covered by insurance...but still need the 25.00 co-pay and in the last 2 months I have spent $150.00 ...but I am looking forward to going. Well enough of me...How are things with you and your family...wow don't know how you do it??? Well dear hope all is fine. Things are really HOT here. Take care..Hugs Love Kim

Close Fibromyalgia
I have had fibromyalgia for almost 5 years. It's worse now than it's been in a long time. I have a full time job and children at home to take care of. No type of treatment has worked for me yet. I have tried many. I have constant days and nights of pain. I am hoping to reach out to others that understand and can help me through this difficult time. I really need some support.
Treatments
- 5-HTP Not Working
- did nothing for me
- Aqua Therapy Working / Worked
- I took aquatic therapy for 6 months with no improvement
- Heat Somewhat Helpful
- heat seems to help alot
- Lyrica Not Working
- didn't work and gained several pounds while on it
- Morphine Working / Worked
- my dosage was just doubled to see if it will help
- Neurontin Not Working
- did nothing and I was on 3600 miligrams
- Zanaflex Working / Worked
- sometimes it helps sometimes not, makes me really sleepy

Type: Clinical (Major) DepressionI am depressed because I have fibromyalgia and I can't deal with the symptoms very well. I feel very hopless

I have had fibromyalgia for about 5 years. I am in pain every single day just different levels. I work full time but am exhausted. I need support because I have no one at home that understands.

- working somewhat I am on 60 mg twice a day
