I am Ruandalee. I have Partial Complex Seizures and was diagnosed 16 years ago. I have tried many meds, Depakote, Teretol, Dilantin...right now I am on Lamictal and it seems to be controlling my tonic-clonic seizures well but not my partial seizures. I forget what they are called.
Treatments
- Ativan Working / Worked
- Using it for anxiety
- Depakote Working / Worked
- Worked for six years, and then suddenly stopped. Required dose was too high for recommendation.
- Dilantin Not Working
- Turrned me into a remote control.
- Klonopin Not Working
- Tried ten years ago. Turned me into a zombie, and didn't control seizures.
- Lamictal Working / Worked
- I don't like the weight gain, but it is controlling my tonic-clonic seizures
- Neurontin Working / Worked
- Worked for a while, but I could not stand the weight gain. Worked well on my chronic pain from arthritis.
- Tegretol Working / Worked
- Worked for a while, but dose required to control seizures put me into toxicity
- Topamax Not Working
- Made me very depressed.
