    • Close Interstitial Cystitis (IC)

      I have had the symptoms of IC for two years now. I was just diagnosed a couple of months ago, however. The frequency is the hardest to deal with, especially when sitting in class or trying to get homework done. But probably the worst part is the bad mood I get in when I am having an especially rough day. I can see in my kids' eyes that they miss the fun-loving mother they had before IC.

      Treatments

      Elmiron Too Soon to Tell
      I just started taking Elmiron last Thursday (March 1, 2007). I am hoping that it will help, but it hasn't yet.
      Dietary Modification Too Soon to Tell
      I stopped drinking caffeine completely about a week ago. I haven't noticed improvement yet, but, again, I'm hoping I will.
