  hey rainbow, How r u I have known about my pkd for 18yrs now . I was 34 yrs old when i fornd out i had it .and had alot of test and alot of getting tho it bc my mum had died and my marrage had split up so had to do alot by myself . but now i am 52 yrs old and i remarried and had another babay at the age of 35yrs she ws born with pkd but her kidney were 11cm when born so they gave me a c session so it didnt hurt her kidneys being born. But i was 21 weeks when they found out the baby had the cysts . so they send me to have a stronger ct scan and they decide it was the adult pkd not the infant pkd which the baby doesnt survive the infant one. so i was bought on 2 weeks early and at a c seccion so the babies kidney didnt get damage. well my baby was in hospital for 3weeks and 4 days bc she put hole in both lungs and she couldnt keep anyfood down bc her kidneys were so inlarged. That was sixteen yrs ago she is doing great now but has had hypertension since she was born and is on meds for that. She see the specialist every 6 months and she is 5ft10 ins tall .And my other 4 kids have it to .At the moment my friend is going tho test to donate one of her kidneys to me. So i think it might be around xmas or a lil after. It takes awhile for the tests. Anyways i have been lucky i havnt had a lot of pain with my kidneys. I have had stone before i knew i had the pkd. so u need to see ya specilist to see if u have it. Because if u dont and u have got it the blood pressure will make u loose your kidney fuction faster so u need to get that under control. I dont know if my mum or dad had it i think it might of been my mum because she died at 73ys old of renal failure and diebtes. which pkd affect your kidneys liver and pandentry sorry for my spelling i have to think alot now days as i had a colloid cyst removed from my brain 7 months ago.
