HI Sweetie! I am a 63 year old mother, and grandmother...I have suffered with depression on and off all my life....things get better sweetie, and if your medication is not helping you then tell them its not. I have been off medication for 4 years and just now started on one called Noretriptyline....it is for depression, headaches, and used for multiple things. I take the lowest dose 10 mg. and it has helped with my anxiety and depression both....You will notice that medication will take the edge off and you will be able to function. Type: Clinical (Major) DepressionMy name is Emily, I have been struggling with major depression and anxiety for my whole life, but recently becoming unbearable. Isolate myself, sleep all the time and lost interest in everything. looking forward to talking about it freely and meeting others that really understand!
Treatments
- Celexa Working / Worked
- Worked for about 3 years and then stopped working for me. However when it was working I was generally good.
- Effexor Not Working
- I am currently on this however not working for me at all, feel empty and like I dont have a soul. I am on 300mg and going to be put back into hospital soon to get off cold turkey and try something els.
- Positive Thinking Too Soon to Tell
- I have to start doing this, had one session however I think that my meds need to be more stable and effective to take on this type of therapy, was not ready to take it on board at the time
