Married 36yrs, found out 7yrs ago he had been having an affair for the last 14yrs. There was physical and verbal abuse through the yrs, death of a 15yr old daughter. The affair did me in, it devasted me I can't seem to recover.

I have been married for 36 yrs. In these yrs I have been beaten, my kids and I were alone all the time because drinking, golfing, and other people came before us. Now I have found out that he has been having an affair with his secretary for the past 14 yr. This distroyed me. I tried to make the marrage work but found things started going wrong. Didn't feel like he cares about me like he should and says he does. I left a yr ago and told him we need help but he says he has done everything.

Hi, I was married for 30 yrs when I found out he had beed screwing around with his sec. for the last 14 yrs.There was all kinds of other abuse in the relationship at the same time. It damn near killed me.I lost my oldest daughter 10 yrs previous to finding out.For as dumb as it sounds it was harder to deal with the affair.I signed the papers last week,found out that he has been dating for 5 months, we have been seperated for a yr.He didn't even end up with the first,my life, destroyed.
