Stage: IIIB (Any N3)

I am a bc survivor since 1997. I have had 2 recurrences since then. One was in 1999 and one in 2005. I had a mastectomy with saline implant n 1999 and in 2005 a lymphnode dissection with chemo and herceptin.

Treatments

Arimidex Working / Worked

I have been on Arimidex since 2005 after taking chemo and herceptin. I had one dose of Zometa because my bone density was low from the Arimidex. My md said that Zometa once a year via IV will help the bone denisity. So far Arimidex has helped and I pray it will continue to do its magic.

Herceptin Working / Worked

In 2005 after a recurrence to my lymphnodes, my md put me on chemo and herceptin for a year. Herceptin was easier thant he chemo as far as not getting nauseous.

Nolvadex Working / Worked

I was on Tamoxifen from 1999 to 2004. As soon as I came off the Tamoxifen, I had a recurrence. Not sure if it was because I came off the Tamoxifen or because I was in an auto accident and had trauma to my body.

Radiotherapy Working / Worked

Had radiation therapy in 1997 and lumpectomy. Cancer recurred in 1999 and so I don't think radiation helped me.

Reconstructive Surgery Working / Worked

Had a mastectomy with saline implant in 1999. The surgery was not bad.

Taxol Working / Worked

Had taxol after adriamycin and cytoxan in 2005. Had neuropathy in my fingers and toes
