So, the drug court program is *intensive* It requires three times a week AA or NA meetings, twice a week "group" meetings (which seem to be just bs sessions, as the facilitator did not have control of the group this morning) at the dacco office, three times a week accupuncture at the dacco office, twice a month individual counseling (at the dacco office), and two-to-three times a week random drug screenings - at teh dacco office. Did I mention that this office is 40 minutes from where I live and work? And that group meetings are at 7 am? This means my roommate has to drop off my son at preschool twice a week, since it is physically impossible to get from his preschool when it opens at 6:30 to the group meeting by 7, and if you're late you "violate" the terms of probation. and it's a year-long program.
I've been working from someone from a different, less structured/stringent drug program, and my therapist, and my social worker, trying to get the judge to give me an alternate treatment plan. This is just too much for me, I feel, while trying to work full time, be a single mom, and full time college student. So wish me luck when i go to court next tuesday. I'm gonna make sure I do all the program requirements between now and then, and I'm putting together a folder full of letters of recommendation from professors, a description of my job from my boss, stuff from my therapist and everyone else, just saying that I'm a good girl, quit using two months ago, and could benefit from a less-intensive program. Please keep your thoughts and prayers with me regarding this.

I got a JOB!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Doing web-development for a company I've been freelancing for, working full time over the summer while I'm not in school. Woo-hoo! And the best part is I get to keep working from home, just now I'll get paid regularly (instead of every few months when I finish a project)
Hooray!
If you would like to see it, request a friendship.
