Wow, two weeks from now I shall be on a bus half way to Niagara Falls, and Sr. Maggie (or Mags) or just Sr. she really answers to almost anything, but I've yet to see her at chow time!! Anyway she should be coming thru customs about this time! Then, we finally meet, at the bus depot. She aught to be easy to recognize, I'll have to wear a RED HAT !! Our room is booked (as of yesterday) and it turns out we are in the same hotel that her benefactor, Jerry Gavett and his late wife spent their honeymoon in 20 odd years ago, and we found it by an ad here on DS when Marg mentioned they had picked up on my reference to teh Falls and were putting up ads for it!! We had looked at other hotels online, but they were newer and much pricier! So we got a corner room with 2 picture windows overlooking the Horseshoe Falls !! And we got it well below par as it isn't prime time and not so new and fancy as some!! Of course we aren't there for new nor for fancy! but we sure are there for the view! When the falls are illuminated at night it will be spectacular, so as I said, the preparations are almost as much fun as the events will be as they happen. Today we shall be booking a B&B for the Monday we go to Martyres Shrine in Midland. Hey Rena, we need you to call one of us, as we have narrowed it down to one of two really nice rooms in a beautiful victorian home. We just need your opinion on one difference in these two rooms! Each room has an entrance from the veranda which will make it easy to sneak Suki in after dark! So thats were we are today in our grand preparations; stay tuned for the next segment.................?

You are all in for such a treat! I am so excited about your trip.... and Niagara Falls is one of my favorite places. Joe and I met in Buffalo, and we used to go to the Falls a LOT.... Matt called it "MYagra Falls!" He thought it was HIS I guess! So, have yourself a blast... it seems like the prep is every bit as exciting as the trip will be.

You do sound like a young teen heading off on their first big adventure alone without parents. Talk about excitement?????? I am so happy for you my friend. You will have such a great time. Now for a question I am sure many of us want to know. Will you be keeping in touch with us or will we have to wait until you get back to find out about all the adventures?

Wow, now that is a question, Sr. Maggie is bringing her laptop and I may take mine as well, so depending on the available hotspots we should be able to send the odd update.........I know I'd like to. It has been the shared excitement that has made this so much fun, so if at all possible, I want to keep you all posted when we can hook up online. If/when we cant get online, I may phone Lesa with an update and get her to post it somewhere!

That will be great if we can get to hear the adventure as it unfolds. I am sure that you, the two ladies and Suki will enjoy the whole adventure. I am so proud of you all. What a wonderful time you will all have.

I liked the description of the Yellow room but I'm easily amused so will go along with whatever. The main thing is that we'll be in it together..... 2 person hot tub aside! We should each bring a cd or 2 for background music. I can already feel the warmth of the room! 3 happy faces, a fireplace, outside deck !! wow! We will install ourselves with a candle, a little sweet woman blues & a bottle of crisp white wine AND talk all night if we choose to. Yay! This is going to be good. Carol, what instrument do you play ?

Well Rena, before the crisp white..... I only play a juice harp, after it I play anything that doesn't get up and run!!
