About Me
Hello my name is Andrea, I am 36 years old and have been battling MS since February 14, 2006. I began on Avonex (didn't work) went to betaseron (liver problems) about to begin Copaxone. Just want friends familiar with the disease. your average person does not understand.
Interests
4 wheeling in the mud!!!! spending time with my family and spending my alone time also! I attend church, I love my church family too!!! I am on the computer often. I love country music and some rock...prefered soft rock.

Close Multiple Sclerosis (MS)
Type: Relapsing-remitting MSHello, My name is Andrea, I am a 36 female. I have battled Multiple Sclerosis since February 14, 2006. I have taken avonex (didn't work) betaseron (damaged my liver) and now am getting ready to start Copaxone. Just looking for friends with similiar problems. The world just doesn't know.
Treatments
- Avonex Not Working
- I was first put on Avonex. It didn't help slow down the exacerbations so I had to go on a different medication.
- Baclofen Working / Worked
- I take one baclofen daily. I find it does help. I definitely do better with that without.
- Betaseron Working / Worked
- damaged my liver and I didnt' realize that was what was making me feel so bad. I retained fluid and began to swell. My liver enzymes were 5Xnormal level and my liver became enlarged. I am not happy with betaseron
- Copaxone Working / Worked
- I will start my copaxone treatment tomorrow. I am not sure how it will go but I am positive thinking about this treatment.
- Neurontin Working / Worked
- I have had good experience with Neurontin. I am a daily user. I don't miss a dose.
Close Back Pain
Treatments
- Flexeril Working / Worked
- I am content with the use of flexeril.
- Heat Working / Worked
- the heat relieves my pain as long as I am directly on the heating pad.
- Hydrocodone Working / Worked
- I take one 7.5 hydrocodone daily. The hydrocodone has given me a great difference in the treatment for my back pain

- did do good for me but being stuck in the house it's easier to overeat
