I visited mom in the nursing home this afternoon and took my camera with, made a short movie clip while talking to her. She was quite talkative today. She did not want me to leave when I said it was time for me to go. I told her I would stay 5 more minutes and read her a few verses in her Bible. After I stopped reading, she asked: 'Are you not going to pray?' I said fine, I will pray for us. After I finished, she was ok with me leaving.

When we were 'chatting', I asked her where her 'old man' (that is what she called my dad) was. She said, he is gone, when he died. I said: Has it been a long time that he has died and she said: 'Almost two years.' I was very surprised, because she rarely talks about dad and she is almost correct in estimating the time that has elapsed since his death.

I love my mom so much and thank God that I still have glimpses of her old self amongst the confusion the AD causes.
