About Me
My name is Guy I'm married and was diagnosed with Hemochromatosis in April of this year 2008 I have Hemochromatosis but it does not define who I am as a person someone once said to me "Guy never lose that sense of humor of yours" so I try not to I never thought something like this could happen to me...guess what it did so I try and keep positive and move forward and would like to help others with this in the future right now I just want to learn as much as I can it's all new to me and I have to admit a bit scary.
Interests
My intrests are in music and art watching movies reading and talking with others on the internet and spending time with my wife and my parrot and taking time for things that I took for granted in the past.

Close Hemochromatosis
I was diagnosed with Hemochromatosis last April of 2008 finally I have a diagnosis after many years of going to doctors and spending many years in discomfort the worst was waiting for a diagnosis the worst part now is the future and if it was caught in time before severe damage occurred my thoughts are with all of you and your family with this misunderstood and misdiagnosed disorder the word needs to get out.
Treatments
- Phlebotomy Too Soon to Tell
- My first phlebotomie made me a bit sick to my stomach the second one from there on has been ok I revieve sailine in my IV afterwards I eat something before I go in and drink plenty of water beforehand and that seems to work also I have a good phlebotomist after 4 treatments i'm down to a treatment every 3 months now.
