Not a bad day today. Only thought of gambling once, and it the thought didn't last long. Still going strong, day 5!! The true test for me is Thursday (payday).....that has typically been my downfall day!

WTG!!!! Day 3 for me today. I get paid today so I know what you mean about it being your downfall. Maybe you could have someone go with you that doesn't gamble so you have a buddy to do your bill paying or shopping with. For me, the less amount of time I spend with money, the better. I plan to take my checks right over to my dad's (he holds my money and writes me checks for my bills) and do no gambling today. My prayers are with ya.

Thats a good suggestion. The sooner I pay my bills the better! I have to go to work today/tomorrow and unfortunatly I have to drive by the casino to get home. Tomorrow will be a big step for me but so far I am feeling good about it. I think you have a great idea to take your check to your Dad's, stay strong today! You can do this!

Maybe a slight change in your way of thinking would help. Try this on for size........"Tomorrow is payday, but that's ok, cause I no longer gamble." or maybe " I gotta drive by the casino on my way home tomorrow, but it don't really matter, 'cause I'm not going there any more. I no longer go into those "slippery places." or maybe " I'm FINISHED with gambling!!"
