Hug hug hug. It might get messy, depends on what kind of an a**hole he is. Mine just did not cooperate so it was frustrating, not nasty. I really had to be on my toes and document everything. Good luck honeybunch.

Get a calendar to keep by your bed. Each day write down if you H called or came over to see your son. Also, put in how much money he gave you. If you go to a lawyer or court it will look good if you can say all of these things. Hugs to you.

I SO appreciate the "you write beautifully." Since I am currently job-hunting and not feeling very employable, it is so great to get that compliment--thank you! My daughter is going to college in NY state, about 3 hours from Boston. But right now she wants to come back to California as much as possible--so, really, I don't know if I will see her even as much as if both her father and I were in California and she had just one place to visit on vacations. Ultimately, though, if she ended up living in the Northeast, I would welcome that, because I guess I'll get there eventually. Thanks so much for reading and commenting on my journal. I don't feel myself to be getting wiser (although I am less inhibited in expressing myself here, so that's good), and I'm definitely extremely confused in my own life and overflowing with self-doubt!
