About Me
I\'m 35 years old and live at home, plagued with three different diseases, one of them being Fibromyalgia, Mixed connective tissue disease, and Eurtheymia Multiforme. I\'m in the process of looking for a production company to help me with a documentary about Fibromyalgia, this is a task, because if you don\'t have funding they want nothing to do with it. Aside from the that I love reading, writing, and any kind of art, I really photography, but because of my illnesses I haven\'t been able to do that in the last twenty years, if my diseases weren\'t so overwheleming I would be on my own and doing all the things I love, I hate that I am stuck in this house. I\'m lucky to get out for a walk.
Interests
Finding a cure for this horrid disease. Getting it noticed and mabye one day getting a documentary going. Right now I will just have to set it up on you tube when i get a camcorder. :(

Close Fibromyalgia
My name is Andrea and I have Fibromyalgia, I don't know how long I have had it for I just know that it took them a long time to diagnose me with it, more less like four or five years. Now it will take that much longer for me to recover from it, so I am now looking for people like me to chat with who share similar experiences.
Treatments
- Cymbalta Not Working
- had to stop because of the constant migraines I got with them.
- Duragesic Patch Not Working
- Allergic to them swelling of throat.
- Lyrica Not Working
- Had to stop Had allergic reaction I guess they told me it has some kind of sulfa product in it. :shrugs:
- Morphine Working / Worked
- Take orally three times a day 60 mg's per day also get 10 mg injections IM in buttock, to block pain cycle.
- Neurontin Working / Worked
- I love this drug it works wonders but i am on 3600 mg of it so I am a zombie most of the time. I recommend it in lower doses when your just starting out.
- Prozac Working / Worked
- I'm actually taking this to help with my OCD and PMDD and for my clinical depression I've also noticed that it works well with some of my fibro symptoms like sleep problems.
Close Chronic Fatigue Syndrome
I was diagnosed with ME (chronic fatigue) at the same time I was diagnosed with FM, I am always tired , I always feel like i have the flu, and some days are just to hard to get out of bed so i don't. I need friends like me :) going through this horrible disease.
Treatments
- Cymbalta Working / Worked
- had horrible nausea, migraines
- Klonopin Working / Worked
- Panic attacks, helps with nightmares
- Pain Management Clinic Working / Worked
- Epidurals for back pain, cortisone shots in hips,
Open Cleft Lip / Palate
was born with a cleft palate they didn't find it until I was three years old, she kept complaining that whenever i had a bottle stuff would come out of my nose I gained weight but not alot I had a wonderful plastic surgeon at wyandotte hospital where I was born.
Treatments
- Reconstructive Surgery Working / Worked
- Dr. Kapitanski had a different type of procedure I never have to have it done again I had no lip involvement but you could tell I had a cleft palate. Now you wouldn't even notice he did such a fantastic job, sadly he was killed in a plane crash. :( I was lucky enough to have him work on my palate.
- Enfuvirtide Working / Worked
- I was only three years old they took out my adenoids my tonsills and put tubes in my ears I believe I had separate surgeries for all of these my eustachian tubes are different then other peoples because of my cleft palate. So I need tubes in my ears to help with the drainage of the fluid.
