We went to the genetic counseler with my daughter.  They did a DNA test to see if she has the NF gene.  Results will be in around 5-8wks they said.  She said she has a couple of symptoms. The Dr. works with alot of people with NF, she made me feel like I should not worry, just take one day at a time.   she said to be aware of any changes to her eyes (optic glioma), I guess up until she is six years old that is one of the things to watch for.  after that she said she can't get one, I don't know if I understood her right?   I was worried about her bowed in legs but she said she is past the age of anything happening. I have doubts.
