About Me
I am 25years old. I am the step mom to an almost 11 year old girl. It is hard sometimes but I think I am doing a pretty good job at it. I like to read, No....I LOVE to read. also a big fan of all kind of artwork. and last but not least i love classic rock music; you know what they say...Gimme some of that old time rock and roll, it just soothes the soul. I almost Forgot, I also have mild Tourettes Syndrome, ADD, and a mathimatical learning disabilty. but I get by alright.

Close Tourette Syndrome & Tic Disorders
I am 25 and have Tourettes. I have been on Rittalin, Clonidine and Catapres. I have not tried anything else in the reacent years though because after the nightmare that was catapres i didn't want to take anything else. I was diagnosed at age 12 and also have ADD; diagnosed age 7. I have many physical tics and can controll it through will power alone most of the time but not always and it's hard.
Treatments
- Clonidine Not Working
- catapress did not work.In fact it put me in a fueg state all the time and I was failing classes left and right.It also made my blood pressure rise and fall like crazy.To tell the truth I don't remember much more than that, I was a complete zombie for the two months i was on it.
Close Bipolar Disorder
Hi, My little sister is Rapid Cycle Bi-polar and i don't think she is on any meds right now and it worries me. I sometimes don't hear from her for weeks at a time and then she just calls out of the blue like we talked yesterday. I know i can't be offended by these things and I am not but i wish i could just keep better track of her. I know she was miserable on the meds, they made her very overweight and she couldn't funtion half the time on or off them.

My little Sister I Rapid Cycle Bi-Polar. I worry about her i know she isn't taking any meds. she just turned 21 in feb. and well... QUEEN OF THE UNIVERSE. I love sam, she is smart, really smart. but, no meds and she becomes someone I don't know sometimes. I know she was miserable on the meds; some of them made sam gain 50lbs. at least. sometimes i won't hear from her for weeks and then out of the blue, she calls and it's like we talked yesterday.
